I choose this book because I had watched the movie and decided the book would probably be better than the movie. And also because the story is very interesting and easy to read. What I think is going to happen in this book is what I saw in the movie Skeeter one of the characters in this book is going to write about the struggles with maids in 1962 Jackson ,Mississippi.
